Patients
The Patients page is your branch's patient directory — search the people on file, see their journey status at a glance, and (for clinicians) open a patient's full clinical workspace.
The patient list
Each row shows the patient's name, phone, address, last visit, their journey type, and a status badge. You can:
- Search by name or contact details.
- Filter by journey status: All, Active, Completed, or Cancelled.
- Switch scope between This branch (the default) and All patients (org-wide — available to owners).
Doctors see their own patients by default; owners and branch managers see the whole branch directory and a few summary stats.
Opening a patient
A patient row responds to two interactions:
- Single-click — selects (highlights) the row.
- Double-click — opens that patient's clinical workspace.
Opening the workspace is for clinicians
Only staff with the doctor job function can open a patient's record, so double-click opens the workspace for them. Reception and non-clinical owners or branch managers still see the patient list, but double-clicking a row does nothing — opening a clinical record requires a clinical job function. See Roles & permissions.
Inside the patient workspace
The workspace has two tabs:
- Overview — the patient's demographics and attachments, a timeline of past visits, and — for OB/GYN — the OB/GYN history, current pregnancy journey, and vitals charts.
- History — the specialty medical history.
Owners and branch managers also get an Edit profile action to update demographics (name, date of birth, phone, address). The national ID is locked by default and takes an explicit confirmation to change.
Adding patients
There's no "add patient" button here — patients are created during the booking flow, where reception can add a new patient inline while booking a visit. See Visits.
